I wore braids all weekend. To keep the hair from blowing into my face and into my photos. They also got pulled a bit. Hated that……not really.

I used to turn around in fifth grade and say stupid things to barbara…
Then one day, she took a whole gallon jar of white paste, and pasted me with it!
POW!
(she sat behind me…I didn’t see it coming.
I started to cry…but, the funniest hing.
The teacher came over to see what was going on and I let loose a stream of blue only a service brat would know (and, yes…that’s what i was)…but guess what?
EVEN THOUGH the entire class started to gasp, almost all burst out laughing (and it made me laugh, too) and even though when I realized I had just cussed a teacher (and, boy oh boy…back then the paddle wasn’t a wall decoration) and apologized because that’s the kind of kid I have always been…
IN SPITE of that, she dragged my ass to the principal’s office, sat me in the waiting room, and went in and complained bitterly about what I had said, then stormed out in a huff.
…after the laughter stopped, the principal called me in.
Dang… I jus knew it was going to be bad…
but it took him a few minutes to get himself “mean enough” to be the principal again.
He asked if I really said all of that.
I said, well stupid me…be honest..
it was worse.
And I told him.
BUT I also quickly added that I apologized. And he said that was enough as long as i didn’t repeat it.
When I left, I could hear him and the secretaries laughing…
A side note.
I never saw Barbara again… I think.
And I never used white paste after that, either. I used DUCT TAPE till I went to college.
