Day 117 – Shots from the New Camera

Soon after Garbanzo bought his VW Bus, he declared I could upgrade my camera. After a bunch of research and sticker shock, I decided maybe I wasn’t ready for it.  Until today….when on Craig’s List I found a D3….for the price of a used D700 which was what I was thinking about getting.  I met the guy at a Starbucks – made some small talk (or tried to) as I took pictures with the camera and was in awe. I’m a horrible person – I really am. I realized after how rude I was. He was clearly interested in sharing with me his move back to film – and I was too wrapped up in the camera.  He got his money, so I can’t he won’t complain too much. The light sensor is definitely more sensitive. The photos I was taking in what would have been bad lighting conditions were amazing. So I came home and slapped on my favorite lens, and took these.  Excuse me as I go read the book because this camera is VERY different from my D80.

Don’t worry about the seller, he got his money, I’m sure his feelings weren’t hurt!

I’m looking forward to seeing what you can do with your new toy. Once you figure it out 😉

The transaction didn’t include having to make small talk about his retro move back to film… It was merely for you to try out the camera to make certain it worked and then to pay him for it..
Those two agenda items were accomplished.. And I hardly doubt that you were rude…. :):)
