Day 349 – Rain, Rain, Go Away…

I really don’t care about the rain. I’m just being clever with my title. Rain means it is well above freezing many times, so I don’t mind it.  I do mind the fact Oregonians forget how to drive in it which is perplexing given we spend about 6-8 months of the year in rain, but that’s a whole other problem.

I liked the drips and the way they had collected on the tree branches outside of the house.  Kind of made the tress sparkle in the overcast day.

Today was a pretty good day though – rain aside. Got some work done. Got some cleaning done. Had a nice night out with some fun friends of ours.

Our plans had changed actually. Our night of hanging out morphed into hanging out at a bar for a trivia night.  The male half of the couple had been part of a team that had won the past trivia night which resulted in a nice bar credit.  He knew adding Garbanzo to the mix would create a winning team. We agreed – it sounded like fun. Our team was second the first round and tied for second the second round.  Overally, we placed second for the night.  Myself and the female half of the couple acted more as cheerleaders (and drank and made snarky comments) than actually helped.  It was fun hanging out with them, flirting and just enjoying the company.  We are trying to plan some fun time soon.  It will all depend on who has a free house at which to host. Or as the male half of the couple said, an empty backseat of a car may suffice if we don’t get this resolved soon.  While we will play late at night when the kids are asleep (our room is far from theirs and on a different floor), she works insanely early hours Tuesday through Saturday, so we tend to play early making our house out of the question.  Damn logistics of it all!  I’m sure we’ll get it squared away – but nothing like adding some sexual tension to the mix to make sure that it happens sooner rather than later.

You know, an old Westfalia would have a great fold-down bed. It would be nice and cozy and we could take it anywhere!
