Eureka!

on

After months of struggling to figure out how Twitter would work for me, I thing I have found it.

I am using it the way I used to use email newsletters – as a way of getting news.  Sure, I follow people on there too – but I’ve found more use as a new feed.  And, unlike Google Reader or other such tools, it is faster to scroll through.  (I like reading the headlines – and click into what I’m truly interested in).

For example:
The Daily Green had a great link to an article they did about the Top 12 Foods to Buy Organic .  Embedded in that article are the Top 10 Foods You Don’t Have to Buy Organic .   Had I gone to their site, I doubt I would have noticed the article, to be honest.  I don’t have that much time during the day to peruse the sites.

I have started following sites that hold a personal and professional interest for me.  It’s actually been nice to scroll through and see what’s new.  Like I said, I’m finding it more effective for this than I do a reader.

Do I update my own status?  Occasionally.  I have a friend who loves Twitter who was razzing me about that lately.  I try to do it occasionally for her sake.

But, like I said, I’m finding it be a much more effective news feed.

    Post instructions..
I tried doing it but either wasn’t bright enough or lost interest..
Hoping for the latter, afraid it might be the former.. :):):)
