My husband has a phrase for my stream of consciousness that leaves my mouth and the way I deliver it. He calls it “a right turn without signaling”. In one conversation, I can go from sharing my feelings about the current elections to telling him about the new book I’m reading – without a need to transition the conversation. He says it is like following behind me in a car and having me make a sudden right turn, without signaling. He is merely along for the ride and left to react to the situation.
I wanted to start a blog. One that wasn’t necessarily for friends and family to keep on the goings on with my family, but one where I could have that conversation without worrying about signaling. A blog where hopefully the reader enjoys the sudden turns. I have many interests. I read like a fiend….everything, and I mean everything. No one would ever accuse me of being a literary snob. I like to cook – and eat. I like to knit and sew. I like to garden. I work a technical position, so I’m a geek. I am opinionated about things I read and hear and discuss. Overall, no one could accuse me of fitting into a neatly labeled box.
So, follow along, and we’ll see where we end up.
I like that you don’t signal. It makes life that much more interesting!
