When I do my Motivational Mondays, I often have other things pop-up in my different quotation feeds that I subscribe to on several different social media sites. Some of the funny ones are the ones related to my astrological sign – Taurus.
You see, people have told me since I was young (upon hearing I am a Taurus who also was born in the year of the Ox) that it explain my stubbornness and my quick temperedness. But these things amuse me because, well, they are finer nuances of what it’s like to be a Taurus. (Oh and I also found out the year I was born was the Ox water-sign which balances the stubborn with the flexible and other things making me a conundrum, I guess, especially when you add in the part-Scottish, part-German heritage.)
Here are some of my favorites Taurus finds that came across my feeds as of late:
Yeah – this one is true. Though, my dad is not a Taurus and does exactly what I do each night. Stays up too late – then says this has to stop. So, not sure this is unique to a Taurus – but more coincidental.
This one makes me chuckle because in most areas of my life, I am totally dominant. But when I’m in a kinky relationship, I totally hand over the reigns. Not in my opinions and such, but in play with someone I trust wholeheartedly. I like someone else in control. Having that duality satisfied on both sides, does make me a happier person for sure.
Truth. I see through that shit and will silently be laughing at you while I do it while thinking “yeah, no.”
This one was a bit odd because I do seem to feel where the sore spots are in people. Never thought of it as a Taurus trait – just an Emmy one.
Yeah – not this one. I process shit aloud. Silence can drive me nutty when at the wrong time.
1. If you want to win anyone over, always smell nice and look your best. 2. I don’t need or want material things as a way to win me over. 3. Always take someone you are courting to a decent meal. 4. Never make anyone your entire world. Care – make them part of your world – but “slowly make them your world” feels stalker-ish and codependent Those are not good things.
