There are times he randomly shows up in my dreams.
Sometimes he is just an observer – in the background, watching what is happening, following along with the plot twists and turns of the dream. Then, at some point, he disappears like he has seen enough and decides to go.
Other times, he enters right into the mix. When that happens, the dream changes – it becomes about us spending time together while the other stuff happens around us. The actions, the events, and situations – they are all normal – they are all typical – and the reactions follow predictable. We could be anywhere – not the dream in my head – but at an actual event together.
Last night, I had one of those dreams. We hung out together, we kissed, we touched, we hugged, we talked – all the while the weird, but feasible events happened around us. There was nothing bad – just people coming over and talking about off the wall stuff – like “I’m using your bbq to cook my dinner because my kitchen is being remodeled.” sort of weird.
Then suddenly – he got up and walked to the door, gave me a huge hug and kiss – and said he was going.
I told him I didn’t want him to go.
“It’s time, love – I love you too much”
And he left.
It was in that moment, I knew it was not a typical dream – the dream continued – and he vanished from it. I knew he was visiting me in my sleep – that we had reached for each other – and found more time together – even if it wasn’t in a physical plane.
It’s been a weird week – an unusual weekend for us as family things took priority. And while we found time to talk – and a few times to be together for a few hours – it has not been the norm for us. I guess that’s why I’m not surprise by the dream visit.
Energy connections with people are a powerful thing – not something I’ve felt a lot in my life, but incredibly powerful.
I am blessed that we have that with each other.
It truly is an amazingly wonderful thing.
