Found:

A shoe.

Left on the sidewalk. Probably after someone kicked it off in a moment where emotion erupted and you didn’t think about the consequences.

So instead of tossing it away, we put it on the fence.  It’s all alone. So, when you realize what happened, come back and get it.

It will be waiting for you.

Because alone, it can never do much as it can together.
