- Apparently playing Halo has a real life application – water gun fights. Especially Made yesterday afternoon rather interesting watching two tween girls strategize over the best way to ambush the boy who started it. He never stood a chance.
- Painting over a bad paint job results in anxiety as paint dries unevenly. Beer helps ease that anxiety. And it’s always good to paint with someone tall if you are short.
- I triggered the female manager’s defenses at work. She is a poor leader – I was at risk of revealing it, I guess. And I was removed from her project. This does not bode well for me in terms of work right now. But, given my manager’s reaction today – he is not thrilled with how it went down. I can only hope it reflected poorly on her.
- I forgot how entertaining I found Buffy episodes. I’m re-watching them as I have insomnia. So many great lines in those episodes!
- My brain is not friends with me right now – or at least, in agreement that my body needs sleep. Must mean its a day ending in Y.
- My garden rocks this year. I have lettuce, peas, strawberries, raspberries, beans, peppers, tomatoes, cukes, and onions growing. All are looking great. And the stuff we’ve been able to harvest has tasted great.
- Summer has made a stop by the Pacific NW. And three days before the 4th of July. Maybe it was a reward for giving it the summer off last year? I don’t care. It’s been great so far. Fingers crossed it stays longer than a few days this year.
- I am finding that the older I get, the more cynical I am about “the news” and how little attention I pay to it. I have no idea who Casey Anthony is. Weiner? A sex scandal, I think. There are others – but mainly, I ignore them. NPR is my friend.
- Turkish coffee is yummy. And quite dangerous as it will keep you up past your bedtime.
- I now own a real Turkish coffee pot from Turkey. My in-laws DO love me.
- Watching the Tour de France each afternoon has been fun. Thank you Tivo. Even knowing who has won the stage (thank you Twitter) hasn’t ruined it for me each day. Such an interesting race.
- I was bored and updated my blog. I wanted a new header. Not sure I’ll keep it. We’ll see.
- I do have pictures I upload frequently on my Smug Mug site. I’m lazy and haven’t been posting them on here as much. I wish there was a way to embed a slideshow onto my blog. But Blogger doesn’t support the format. Oh, well. Maybe I should just stop being lazy.
- I started this blog post 5 hrs ago, and just realized I forgot to publish it. Oops.
Right now, I wish I had your innocence. I think I will take a page from your book and turn off the news…
I love to watch Buffy episodes when I can’t sleep. It’s my guilty pleasure 🙂
