I love this one. A tree once planted cannot really change its course – it only can be changed by the forces around it. People are not trees. We can change by the forces around us, but we can also move away from those forces – or choose our reactions to them.
It’s hard to ride the waves of life sometimes. It’s human nature to want to fight against the changes instead of riding them out. Sometimes we have to let go though – and see where life takes us instead of holding on out of fear.
Today marks the day of Martin Luther King Jr’s death. I thought this was appropriate.
Gotta end on a funny note – can’t take life too seriously.

I love the tree quote, I’ve heard it before and have wanted to say that to certain people who whine a bit too much about things under their control.
