Before I get my picture of the day (POD), I have noticed a lot of people starting the 365 day project this year. It is a great challenge – and one that has taught me a lot over the past two years I have participated. One of the things I know I been challenged within the second year that I played was finding inspiration. There are a lot of places to find it, so I thought I would toss in an option myself.
Each month, I am going to toss out a theme. G called it:
It may be a concept, a photography concept, or something specific. Each month, I’ll toss something out. If you’d like to play, make a comment to the post. At the end of the month, I’ll do a summary post highlighting the people who played. You don’t even have to be a blogger. Just post it to Flickr or SmugMug or a place I can see it – then post the link. Hell, you don’t even have to do the project itself – if you just want to contribute, contribute. This is a loose theme, so play as you would like. Also, I will try to keep the theme generic enough that regardless of the subject you prefer, you should be able to play along.
My first theme that I came up with as I was shooting pics today is BARE. Interpret it. Get creative with it. And you don’t have to play all of the month – just use it as a prompt if you need it. I can’t wait to see what you come up with to interpret the theme.
For me, bare is January. The trees, the left over pods from the plants, the ground, everything – it’s bare.
Very cool idea, I like it!
This actually fits some of the photos i took the other day perfectly. I was in serious need of stress relief and here in Western New York everything is either bare or snow covered.
I love how this photo…

I did a post on it also…

Great idea, Emmy! Count me in. My “bare” in Jan will most likely be a bit more personal, with my exotic vacation coming up and all.
Hubman – can’t wait to see what you come up with.
Melissa – I like the pictures!! The silo is great!
Lola – be as “personal” as you’d like. I know everyone has their own subject of choice, so it’s all good. 🙂
