Labor Day Weekend Wrap-Up

Gotta love the wrap-up blog post. A great thing to do when there isn’t a single blog post in my mind….or completed as in my mind.

The chicken issue became a huge one late last week and spilled into the weekend. I wish people would just be decent and not assume others are doing shit just to piss them off.  The “world is against me” shit just fucking drives me insane. They got out again, they got into the person’s yard (again). We are not sure how they got out. I mean, there is no obvious way.  Didn’t matter. They got out, I got to search for them (again) and deal with the nasty grahm (again).  I flipped. When I was laid off last fall, I spent most of my time tracking those fucking chickens down. As we all know, they are not mine. So not only am I dealing with these animals that are not mine, but I’m getting held responsible for them too.  G has finally got them contained. He built them an enclosure – fully contained. It’s smaller than what they have, but at this point, it doesn’t matter. They are contained. And that neighbor can fuck off, for all I care. I have no time in my life for the passive aggressive, and those who assume the worst about people.
We met up with a bunch of our friends for a baseball game Saturday.  We were supposed to have more people attend, but other things prevented it.  We had fun anyway. I’ll be honest. There were a few people I was hoping could make it. In a few cases, it is simply because I don’t get to see them as much as I’d like. But it is what it is. And I am happy to spend some time with a few friends who were there.  The game sucked though. I mean, you can’t exactly find excitement in a 9-1 game……especially one where the solo run by the home team came way too late to even be excited about.  And the 3rd baseman, why and the hell they kept him in was beyond me.  Between the show-off throws to first which resulted in an error and the simple fielding plays he fucked up, I would have yanked his ass. Or smacked him alongside the head.  It was that sort of game.
The wife of G’s cohort was hilarious. DJ decided to spend part of the game with the women when some dance music of sorts came on. They were shooting t-shirts into the crowd. The wife commented to DJ that she should shake her money maker to see if she could get a t-shirt. “My what??” was DJ’s reply. You could tell by the look on her face she was almost afraid to ask. “Your money maker…dance while shaking your money maker which for you would need to be your butt since your, well,” she looks at her chest, “isn’t there yet.” DJ has this funny smile on her face that was a combination of horror and amusement. The explanation went down hill after that. I mean, you have four opinionated, self-assured women who pretty much gave DJ the honest truth about what it meant – in a few variations. She finally rolled her eyes, said “OMG!”, and rejoined the kids. I guess 7 year olds were less embarrassing at least for the remainder of the game.
Sunday was a day of cooking for me. I don’t cook huge meals often. I’m more of a “toss it together and see what happens” sort of cook. My family decided to drive up to visit today. They were going to get together and do a BBQ there, but my dad decided to move the party. We have a better yard for it anyway, so it was fine with me.  I cooked breakfast. Then I cooked pulled pork all day. Then made an asian slaw. It was all great, if I do say so myself.
We do have to figure out what we’re going to do with our black dog. While playing with the kids, he went after my 2year old niece. Thankfully I reacted right away as did she which scared him away from hurting her. It did scare the hell out of us though.  We don’t understand his lack of tolerance with kids of any age. We got him as a puppy, he was raised with kids, yet he has decided he hates kids now.  G and I are going to have to have a serious conversation about what we are going to do. While I would love to keep him around, his aggression keeps getting worse as he gets older. I feel we have been lucky so far that he has not injured anyone. Might be best to find him a home where he can be with adults.
Before the family arrived, G did drag me into the bedroom, push me backwards onto the bed, and bring me to an amazing orgasm. That man has a great tongue…among other things. Oh, my, did that help get me through the rest of the afternoon and evening.  Since it is too early to tell yet, I have been promised more of the same….with maybe some rope and toys too. Might end up being a great Sunday night of fun.
Have a happy labor day!

This really touched a nerve with me as I have one of these people who I cannot seem to eliminate from my cyber world – no matter how hard I try!

I guess it’s a good thing they don’t live next door!

Good luck with black dog… doing the responsible thing is one of the hardest parts of being a dog owner.

And I love quickies before company comes; helps me relax before the craziness ensues!

I am so sorry about the black dog… Think there’s anything the vet can do to help?
    Good luck!! 🙂
