in May 2008, I started this blog.
Don’t go back and read it….just don’t. There is no point. I didn’t know what I was going to blog about. I just created it, gave it a clever name, and realized I didn’t know what I wanted it to become. Only over the past year has it come into it’s own.
How did I hit so many posts in 2 years? Do the 365 project in addition to regular blogging, and it does not take long.
So, in the spirit of the any sort of awards ceremony….
I’d like to thank Google. The company that acquired Blogger and made it so easy to start a blog. It’s not perfect, but accessible. And I’ve worked within its bounds.
I’d like to thank Garbanzo who not only supported me but sent me his blog traffic. He patiently listens to my blog posts and provides feedback before I post them. He’s encouraged me to write more – and he has given me material….the good and sexy kind. He has also tolerated my criticism as I direct him to take HNT pictures. He has also been tolerant of me as I did the 365 Project last year in my obsessive – I-have-to-post-a-picture-quick sort of distractions. And also, I have to thank him for his contribution to the great relationship we have. Without it, we would not have even considered some of the fun we’ve been having. I love you, my love.
And in the traffic from him were Veronica and Hubman and Jennybean and Dana who were some of my early commenters. Knowing I had a few readers actually made it worth writing. And becoming good friends too definitely was a nice side benefit – especially in a couple of cases in particular. 🙂
I’d like to thank Osbasso who encouraged me to participate in OHNT after I started – and who I have enjoyed chatting online with over the year.
I’d like to thank TL who has inspired more blog posts than most people are aware of. For a guy who doesn’t claim to have a non-sexual creative bone in his body, he does make some great comments that stick in my head and inspire me to write about later. The chats, the texts, the talks, the sex – hell, he’s always good for some material of some sort or another. Seriously though – TL is one of my best friends. I’m glad to have him around and not because he’s good in bed.
I should also thank my kids. Without whom I would not have interesting stories about them pretending they are cannibals and such.
I should thank the local beer brewing for their photogenic brews that show up in my pictures and for crafting plenty to drink for ….uhm….inspiration.
Seriously though – thank you to all my readers. You have made the past couple years enjoyable. I love reading your comments – hearing your feedback – and corresponding with those who have email accounts associated with their Google accounts (hint, hint). I have enjoyed having you on this journey – and hope you will continue to ride along as I continue past this milestone.
