Most of the old playground equipment has been replaced at the parks. But, occasionally, you will encounter an isolated playground in an unexpected place where the equipment is the original stuff. The slides are the tall, narrow ones that I’m sure plenty of kids
fell jumped off – or the tall, over-sized swings that adults can still swing on and feel like they were flying just like they did back when they were kids. I’m always happy to find these because it is a flash back to childhood that I think we sometimes need.

My father is a welder and was called to replace some fencing at an apartment complex when I was a child. He came home with a slide just like this one. And a jungle gym (circular with pole down the middle). It was the best ever. My parents still have these pieces in their backyard, for the grandkids to enjoy when they come over. I love it.
