Monday Accountability…Or Not

While each Monday, I recount the past week in eating and how it has been positive or negative for my weight loss goals. With Thanksgiving last week combined with my trip to see family, I have decided to skip this week. In some respects, I know I did fine. But then again, I know I drank more than usual. Can I just say that I forget how much my brothers drink? And how much they curb their consumption around my parents.

Thanksgiving was great despite the fact my parents were back in Iowa for the funeral. We all cooked and ate way too much. We played with my niece and helped my brother N and his fiancé move into a house. We ate great falafel and drank more. It was nice and relaxing.

In other news, the Hubby may be offline for the next couple days. His hard drive on his laptop died. It should be pointed out that the timing is horrible since grades are due today and he lost his grade book. And, no, like most everyone who loses a hard drive for the first time…he is without a backup. Guess I know what to get him now.

Today marks 17 years since the Hubby and I started dating. It became clear that we had a thing for each other pretty early on but we didn’t act on it until I broke up with the guy I had been dating. It became clear that the Hubby was more caring than the other guy, so I went home for Thanksgiving, dumped the other guy, then came back to the guy who really liked me. And, the rest, as they say, is history. While it may seem odd to remember a day like today after all of these years, it is A. an easy date to remember but B. it was the begining of the end. Just kidding, of course.

I know how you feel about accountability today. Though I’m such a glutten for punishment I stepped on the scale this morning anyway!

Bummer about your hubby’s laptop 🙁

17 years? Congratulations!!! ASM and I know and acknowledge the date when we met/started dating. For the record, Sept 30th was 18 years for us.
