Tuesday Total Randomness

I have too many things going through my head to just post about one thing.  So, you are going to get a stream of consciousness that will make the Hubby laugh and agree that this blog is appropriately named.

Did you know that the Charger game against the Steelers created a result that has never happened in the age of modern football?  If you did not watch the game, the Chargers lost the game 10 to 11.  A score of 11 in professional football has no happened until last Sunday.  I guess it has happened about 5 times in college football, but never in the NFL.  The key to the 11 score – the safety scored by the Steelers.  Click here to learn more.

If you want to read the best obituary ever, click here to read this one that appeared in the Casper Start- Tribune in September.  The editor of obituaries for that paper has a daughter who is a well-known local DJ, and she confirmed that this was a real obituary that appeared.  I love the humor, and it makes me want to go out and raise a beer to the guy.

Did you know that dreaming of snakes signifies either men in your life or healing?  Or if you dream about someone dying (especially a child) that you are really grieving over a change you see in the person and the loss of that other quality?  And, here is the Pièce de résistance of dream analysis – if you dream about “taking a number 2 (to be polite)” it means you are trying to get rid of something in your life, a feeling, whatever, so you can move on.  And, the size of the “deposit” is in direct proportion to what you are trying to get rid of in your life.  Hey, this is information you can use.

Other things I have found out today is that my cousin Josh Stamer, who plays football with the Tennessee Titans was involved in some sort of wrestling-fund raiser event held last night.  I am trying to find pictures because he had a pose-off with one of the wrestlers.  Josh was known as the workout king while playing in Buffalo because he was always in the gym working to get stronger and faster.  And it shows because he is definitely not the scrawny basketball player I knew growing up.  Anyway, if I find pictures, they will be posted.  As I have said before, I am very proud of what he has accomplished.

And, while I’m on the subject of football, I wish they would start broadcasting the Titan games for the West Coast audience.  I mean, this freaking team is undefeated right now.  Why aren’t they showing them more? I mean, I can watch the Rams, Chargers, and Seahawks lose anytime.  I am happy that they will be playing on Thanksgiving though because I know that game will be on TV.

By the way, it is Push-Button Phone Day today.   It’s also National Educational Support Day today.   How do “days” get made anyway?  And, can we make one of our own?  If so, what would yours be?

The final thing on my mind today (that I will share, anyway) is a project I’m doing with the girls next week when they are out of school.  We are going to make gummy candy.  I found a great tutorial (that I suspect was written by an Engineer given the detailed steps) on how to make gummy candy.  His tutorial showed how he made gummy lego pieces (starting with details on how to make the molds using food grade silicon).  While I won’t be making my own molds, I will be making the candy.  I am a huge fan of gummy worms.  I don’t quite understand why, but I like gummy worms more than any other gummy candy.  I think we’ll have to go to a candy making shop to find appropriate molds.  But, I could see how this tutorial could be fun for many occasions.

Happy Tuesday!
