Accountability Monday

Last week, I was a bit disappointed in my lack of weight loss.  This week, I’m celebrating the lack of weight loss because it means I didn’t gain.

This past week was filled with events.  A week ago was my anniversary.  This past weekend was filled with travel to see the family.  For my anniversary, we splurged and had dessert….a gooey chocolate one.  And, over the weekend, we had lots of snacks and a great meal with family followed by a great breakfast.  No points counting for me.
So, despite the great food and questionable portion control, I gained nothing, but lost nothing.  And, I’m happy with that.
This week will be back on the wagon, so to speak.  Letting go for a few days is pretty healthy.  Again, I’m going for a balance.
And, to quote Charle Schulz, “All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn’t hurt.”

I’ll agree with you. The last week was crazy!!! This week will be better!!! Gotta save up for Halloween

  2. Its tough. I had a stressful week and have yet to find something that brings me the easily accessible and portable calm that some nice carbs do.

I hear you on the carbs thing. My week at work was also stressful, thus making things more difficult when deciding what to eat. It doesn’t help when the girls beg for my homemade mac & cheese.

  4. Mmmm homemade mac and cheese. I make my kids the italian version which is basically baked ziti without the sauce.

Pound of Ziti, Big container ricotta, 8oz bag of mozzarella, divided, egg, handful or grated parm and handful of breadcrumbs.

Cook ziti, cool mix with ricotta,3/4 of mozzarella and egg. Put in pammed 13×9 pan, cover with foil and bake for about 20 minutes of 400. Remove foil, add remaining mozzaella cheese, parm cheese and breadcrumbs, Cook 5-10 minutes to melt cheese and toast breadcrumbs.

Watch your family eat it, while you eat yogurt and fruit while reading the Victoria’s Secret catalog.
